Black Basin Babies!
Betty had her babies today on Day 135. She had 9 babies; 8 alive and one stillborn. She was bred by BW who is a green male. Note pictures of the babies, Betty and BW.

Thanks, guys. Frasier died of a mycobacterial infection I could not detect until it was too late. He was never a strong animal and although he bred for two seasons, he never produced anything. All three of my black Basin females are gravid; Abby, Betty and Carly. They are sisters. Betty and Abby were bred by BW and Carly was bred by Sidney and Snowballs. My expectation (but who knows) is that the babies will carry some black but will need to be bred back to the black females to produce an animal like Abby. This will be a long process to produce black animals. Here is a shot of Abby with BW. Quite a contrast between a normal and a black Basin. I think the effort will be worthwhile.

that's awesome news Steve, if only you could find an unrelated black-line male. with all those gravid black ladies you may need to send some to europe 8) Jurgen p.s. day 135 post ovulation or POS?
